Davoice - Good Shopping

No matter what the reason finding that time to go shopping has never been as important as it is today. Why you might ask? Well shopping allows you to leave the real world and focus on the search. Are you looking for great deals or that special something that will fit in that measured spot?

Being on a budget is never easy when it comes to shopping. Making a difficult task even more difficult. Being creative is the most important aspect of working within a budget. Recently we drew names for Christmas and I happened to draw my sixteen year old nephews name and on the piece of paper that he wrote his name he wrote he wanted cold hard cash. We had put a $50 limit on the gift and on previous times he often returned his gift for cash. But not this time I told myself.

The look on his face when he picked up his gift. The weight alone should have given him muscle spasms. I went down to the bank and purchased fifty dollars in rolled pennies. Took the pennies home and placed them in my deep freezer that is in my garage for three weeks until they were as cold as the ice in the freezer. The afternoon of the get together I removed the pennies from the freezer and placed them in a box and wrapped the box very nicely with Christmas paper and placed the gift under the tree.

The look on his face when he opened the gift was priceless!
