Davoice - Why make it harder than it is

What seems to be an easy task often can overwhelm the average marketer. It really is quite simple once you get the basic principal down. First you need to do your keyword research and separate your keywords into three categories. One broad search terms. Two phrase search terms. Three exact search terms. You then need to create pages paying careful attention to your page navigation and using no follow tags where necessary. Use your H1, H2 and H3 tags appropriately. Fill in all of your meta data completely using your keyword for that meta data as much as possible without being spammy. Next you need to go out and get good quality relevant links using your keyword as the anchor text linking back to your page that you want to rank for. Then be patient and wait for Google to update. This can take some time and to really get the most bang for your buck the links won't transfer their maximum strength for thirty to ninety days. Patience is the key here. You can't rush Google and it wouldn't be worth it anyway because your website has to be ranked against every other website on the internet.

Now that you have done your preliminary work you should start laying out additional content navigation and doing the proper keyword research for these upcoming pages. You really need the time its going to take Google to update so that you can be ahead of the curve. This is the chess match that I so often refer to. If you do things in order and correctly then you can start a counter offensive to your competition before Google even updates what you have already done. Staying one step ahead of your competition is the key to success on the internet. If your competition is anything like mine then you can always check them out doing a simple background search for them on the internet.
