Designer Inspired Fragrance Buying Guide

What Is a Perfume Discovery Set?

A perfume discovery set is a collection of fragrance samples designed to help you explore several scents before purchasing a full-size bottle. Instead of relying only on fragrance notes or descriptions, you can wear each perfume on your skin and experience how it develops throughout the day.

The House of DaVoice discovery set allows you to choose five fragrances from our women’s, men’s, and unisex collections. This gives you the freedom to compare different fragrance families, intensity levels, and designer-inspired scent profiles at home.

How to Build Your Own Perfume Sample Set

Choose five House of DaVoice fragrances using the dropdown selectors on the discovery-set product page. You may select perfumes from different collections, including floral, gourmand, vanilla, fresh, citrus, woody, women’s, men’s, and unisex fragrances.

For the most useful comparison, consider choosing several different fragrance styles. You might combine one fresh scent, one floral perfume, one gourmand fragrance, one woody scent, and one warmer evening fragrance. You may also choose five perfumes inspired by designer fragrances you already know and enjoy.

How to Test Perfume Samples

Test one or two perfume samples at a time so the fragrances do not compete with each other. Apply a small amount to clean skin and allow the scent to develop naturally. The opening notes may be noticeable first, followed by the heart and base notes as the fragrance settles.

Wear each sample for several hours before deciding how you feel about it. Skin chemistry, temperature, activity, and weather can affect how a perfume smells and performs. Testing a fragrance more than once can also give you a clearer impression before purchasing a full-size bottle.

Perfume Samples for Women, Men, and Unisex Wear

A discovery set can include perfume samples for women, men’s cologne samples, and unisex fragrances. You are not limited to one gender category, and you can choose scents according to the notes and fragrance families you enjoy most.

Women may enjoy exploring fresh woody or traditionally masculine fragrances, while men may prefer vanilla, amber, floral, or gourmand scents. Unisex fragrances are also a useful choice for couples who want to share and compare perfume samples.

Travel Perfume and Fragrance Sampling

Perfume samples are convenient for travel, handbags, gym bags, and fragrance touch-ups away from home. Their compact size makes it easier to enjoy several scents without carrying a full-size perfume bottle.

A travel-size fragrance sample is also helpful when you want to test a perfume during different seasons, occasions, or environments. Before flying, always confirm current airline and airport rules for carrying liquids in checked or carry-on luggage.
